Since the early 80’s Dave Swindells has been documenting London’s most influential club and rave scenes. As Time Out Clubs Editor from 1986 - 2009 he had exclusive access to nightlife and its pivotal shifts in youth culture, styles and attitudes.

Dave Swindells ‘Ibiza ‘89’ book published by IDEA in 2020, celebrated the birth of Acid House and iconic clubs / venues Amnesia, Pacha and KU and Café Del Mar. A third edition is to be launched summer ‘23.

Dave’s latest book with IDEA ‘Acid House As It Happens’ is a visual chronicle of 1988, the year that created the first Acid nights at Future, Shoom, Spectrum and more.
